Đây là mẫu power ampli 2 kênh với công suất cao nhất của McIntosh, với công suất lên đến 450W cho mỗi kênh. Người nghe sẽ có thể đắm chìm vào âm nhạc và dễ dàng phối ghép MC462 với mọi thể loại loa nhờ vào công nghệ Biến Thế Xuất Âm (Autoformer) - cho phép MC462 phát huy tối đa công suất 450W ở mọi chế độ trở kháng 2,4 hoặc 8 Ohm.
